Plano Courtyard Theater

Convention/Civic - Plano's beautiful Courtyard Theater, located in the Haggard Park Historic District is the ultimate in renovation projects. The structure, originally the Cox Gymnasium, underwent a 4.6 million restoration in 1999. The gymnasium has been a significant building in Plano's history. The goal was to preserve the historic value and style while providing modern functionality.

Accents of color, form, and materials were used to blend into the unique interior. Modernfold's Acousti-Seal 931 partitions with a wood groove finish were installed during the renovation and blend nicely with the interior. The partitions have a 41 STC for acoustical value. The application allows the theater space to be separated to accomodate the many cultural events that take place.

Through the support of the City of Plano and the visionary leadership of the arts community, the end result is a state of the art facility.
